Grafton Ghost Town & Cemetery

Grafton Ghost Town is an iconic Southwestern ghost town located near Zion National Park. Established in 1859 by Mormon settlers, Grafton is now mostly empty and has five large structures remaining that have been restored. The area is peaceful, isolated, and has an unbeatable backdrop. The Grafton cemetery has a few dozen graves including the three Berry brothers who were killed by Indians in 1866. Grafton was abandoned, but some adobe structures are still standing. Grafton holds historical significance and is considered a ghost town today worth checking out on the way through the national parks. Many movies were shot in this area including scenes from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
