Pioneer Park
Pioneer Park is one of the most popular, well-known parks in Southern Utah and draws adventurers to the 52-acre area due to the drastic red climbing cliffs, Dixie Rock, multiple pavilions, barbecue areas, and amphitheater. This unique park is a nature-lover’s paradise known for rock exploring, slot canyons, caverns, sweeping vistas, and access to other climbing and hiking trails. Pioneer park is free, accessible to all ages, and an unforgettable destination to soak up the Southern Utah iconic red rock.

- There are no fees or permits required to enter this park.
- Dogs are welcome at this park if they are on a leash. Please clean up after your pets!
- There are public restrooms.
- There are no water sources and direct sun exposure. Pack plenty of water!
- There are no grassy areas or playgrounds at this park.
- Wear close-toed shoes that are reliable for trekking the rock.
- Some portions of the park have wheelchair-friendly access and parking.
- There are many covered pavilions for picnics. Some of them are available to reserve.
- Don’t forget to find the Boy Scout Cave! This cave is a man-made shelter built into the rock that has been used as a campsite for locals for years.
- Prioritize checking out Red Hills Desert Garden, connected to the edge of the park.
