Zion Canyon Scenic Drive & Biking
The scenic drive through Zion Canyon stretches from the entrance of the park to the Temple of Sinawava. This road is popular for biking, driving in private cars, and is used by the park shuttle buses during on-season. If you’re looking for a more laid-back approach to Zion, driving or biking the Zion Canyon scenic route will highlight the magnitude of the canyon and showcase wildlife, the Virgin River, and oftentimes waterfalls after a rainstorm.

Important Information:
- The length of the scenic Zion Canyon is 12.6 miles out-and-back. There is 961 feet of elevation gain total.
- Cyclists must pull over to the side of the road for park shuttle buses.
- Biking on the Zion Canyon Scenic Drive must ride single file on the side of the road.
- E-bikes are allowed in the canyon and can be rented at various locations in Springdale.
- Private vehicles can enter Zion Canyon from December- February. From March-November, the canyon is accessible by shuttle bus only.
- Dogs are not allowed on this scenic route.
