For a Fun Filled day Quail Lake is an amazing choice boasting some of the warmest waters in the state and a mild winter climate, Quail Creek lures boaters and anglers year-round. Camp. Hike. Explore.

The maximum depth of Quail Creek can reach 120 feet, so it is cold enough to sustain the stocked rainbow trout, bullhead catfish, and crappie. Largemouth bass, which is also stocked, and bluegill thrive in the warmer, upper layers of the reservoir.

Opened to the public as a state park in 1986.

TRANSPORTATION

Located just south of I-15, about 13 miles NE of St George. About 293 miles south of Salt Lake City.

From I-15, take the Hurricane exit (Exit 16). Travel east on Hwy 9, drive for about three miles toward Hurricane City to the second light, turn left . The entrance is on the right side of the road. Look for the flag pole.
