Lower Calf Creek Falls
One of the most popular hikes in Grand Staircase is Lower Calf Creek Falls, a remarkable trail with a 130-foot waterfall that cascades into a swimming hole. Although the trail is a desert landscape, the falls are surrounded by greenery and create a hidden oasis. In the 1800s, this area was a natural pen for calves and is now one of the most alluring local attractions for hikers. In addition to the waterfall, the trail boasts two granaries, a magnificent pictograph, and variations of local vegetation and wildflowers.
