Escalante Petrified Forest State Park

The petrified forest is located at Wide Hollow Reservoir, which offers camping, swimming, kayaking, and picnicking on its small but striking shore. - The Petrified Forest is a state park which means there are fees associated with entrance. Day use entrance fees are $10. For additional information check outthis website.
- The state park is open daily throughout the year aside from Christmas and New Year’s Day.

- The visitor center offers an in-depth look into the history of the park as well as exhibits depicting the area’s settlement.
- Sleeping Rainbows Trail is an incredible and short .8 mile hike that showcases shining petrified wood that resembles rainbows in the sun.
