Paria Beach
A beach at the Grand Canyon? Although it sounds unlikely, Paria Beach is a stunning beachy area near Lees Ferry where a small river feeds into the Colorado River. This section of water is surrounded by a white sandy beach perfect for setting up camp for the day to enjoy the freezing water, red cliffs spiraling from the river, driftwood, and access to amazing fly fishing.

Important Information:
- Visitors can park in the Lees Ferry campground parking lot for access to Paria Beach.
- The Glen Canyon Recreation Area requires a day pass which can be bought for $30 per vehicle at the self-pay station, or waived with an interagency park pass.
- Dogs are welcome at Paria Beach and may be off-leash in some sections.
- Paria Beach is a great place to watch rafters enter the river and manage the first set of rapids.
- There are restrooms near the campground parking lot.
- Arizona has notoriously hot summers and sweltering heat. Visiting Paria Beach is an amazing way to cool off in the cold water! Be sure to pack plenty of water, sunscreen, snacks, and appropriate clothing.
