Navajo Bridge
Two bridges, one historic and one new, are one of only seven land crossings of the Colorado River for 750 miles and are known as Historic Navajo Bridge. The Historic Bridge was built to connect Utah and Arizona as an alternative to Lees Ferry. This bridge was only 18 feet wide and was not equipped to meet the growing demands of trucks, pedestrians, and visitors. The New Bridge was built in 1995 to replace the Historic Bridge and is now the main bridge for vehicle access.
