Hanging Gardens Trail
Hanging Gardens Trail is located inside the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area near Page and winds through desert terrain to a lush cliff-hanging garden. The route ends at stunning greenery of spring-fed plants climbing vertically along the stark red mountains. This desert oasis is a short but rewarding trek and the scenic views are incredible! Don’t forget to check out The Chains while you’re in the area.

This trail is about ⅔ miles east of the Glen Canyon Dam Visitor Center on the south side of Highway 89. It is marked with a large brown and white sign. Park in the small gravel parking lot.
Important Information:
- This out-and-back trail is 1.2 miles and takes roughly 30 minutes to complete. The elevation gain is 62 feet.
- Dogs are welcome on this trail and must be on a leash.
- This trail is kid friendly.
- The terrain of this trail is mostly flat and rocky with minimal scrambling.
- There are no fees or permits required to access this hike.
- This area is open from 8:00 a.m. to sunset.
- There are no restrooms or drinking water facilities at the trailhead.
